CLASSES COMING 2018

Step into a new conversation about what it means to be successful & powerful, and to start questioning the status quo.

Step 13: I am not an addict, is a mindfulness-based practice for learning to meet and enter the realities of life, with all its pleasures and challenges. The inner discipline of mindful awareness skills helps people move away from mental and behavioral afflictions, and move toward who they are capable of becoming.
The focus has less to do with the woes of addiction, but in gaining wisdom to empower ourselves by getting to root causes, increasing self-awareness, and learning from past experiences in order to move forward.
The approach includes evidence-based education and current research on topics such as working with thoughts, emotions, avoidance, desire, letting go of stories and limiting beliefs, gratitude, forgiveness, formal and informal mindfulness practice, inner discipline, stress & body management, and more.

*Research shows that after one year, a mindfulness-based program proved better than standard cognitive-behavioral relapse prevention, and a conventional 12 step program in reducing drinking and drug use. JAMA Psychiatry May 2014
